Howdy! My race across the high plains on Tuesday was successful, as I made it back to our Jason St. Mega-Store just ahead of (yet another) winter storm. In case you had not already heard, I spent this past weekend driving 2,100 miles (in 3.5 days) in order to purchase two awesome private comics collections. The first deal was comprised of over 30,000 comics, and was located in San Antonio. I bought that one on Sunday. The 2nd collection was located just 2 blocks outside of the Arlington, Texas city limits, and consisted of 17,000 hand-selected Silver Age and Bronze Age comics, along with complete runs of more modern issues, such as DEADPOOL and HARLEY QUINN. I gladly paid the two brothers who owned them $40,000.00 for this awesome collection. While 50 (out of a total of 60) of the long boxes from the Arlington collection are being shipped to us, I managed to tuck ten of the better long boxes in the little bit of space that I had remaining my cargo van after loading those 102 boxes in San Antonio. The photos below give a pretty good indication of why I was willing to drive all the way to Texas to score this great deal. That's it for today, as I need to hustle out now into our frozen dawn and help the volunteers of "Feeding Denver's Hungry" to distribute food to our unhoused people and the many elderly living in fixed incomes in lower downtown Denver. It is freezing cold, but hunger doesn't go away... Happy collecting! Chuck Rozanski/Bettie Pages, P.S. I will have more photos for you on Saturday. All comics pictured are available to you at 40% off of list price, except our CGC's, when you utilize our ongoing 40% off FEBRUARY! codeword. Enjoy!
